Disaster Resources for Heritage Archives
The Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) offers emergency advice to Canada's heritage community in the aftermath of a fire, flood, earthquake or other catastrophes. In case of emergency, members of the Canadian heritage community can call the CCI at: 1-866-998-3721 and press ‘0’ for security. You can call day or night. Inform the operator that it is an emergency to ensure that your call is a top priority. The CCI Conservators will prioritize your call.

It was intended to answer questions that not-for-profit organizations or businesses might have in regards to their records.
Preservation Policy GuideThis guide to creating preservation policies is based on past Preservation Assessments. It may be used as a general resource and also to meet the criteria for AMA institutional membership.
Minimum Standards for Archives – a Self-Study by Nancy Stunden (1992)
The Self-Study Guide is designed to help archives examine how they are functioning and formulate development plans. By answering a series of simple questions about its organization, resources and services, a repository will be able to assess whether it meets the minimum standards desired by the Association for Manitoba Archives. To assist institutions that are deficient in some aspects, the Self-Study includes worksheets for recording improvement plans. The self-study is available for sale; please contact the AMA for further details.
